Last week, we had the pleasure of opening the doors of our Stem Cell Bioengineering laboratories at the Open Day of the Oeiras Campus of Instituto Superior Técnico.

It was truly inspiring to welcome families, children, and future students into our labs and share what we do in the fields of stem cells, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and bioengineering.

Throughout the day, hundreds of visitors explored the campus, interacted with students and researchers, and experienced first-hand the vibrant academic environment that defines Técnico. 

For many young visitors, this may have been their very first contact with biomedical research laboratories, and the first step toward imagining themselves as future scientists or engineers.

A big thanks to all the students, researchers, and staff who helped make this experience so engaging and memorable. Opening our laboratories to the public truly felt “like welcoming people into our home".
