At the Sessão Solene for Técnico's 115th anniversary on 22 May, Prof Raquel Aires de Barros of DBE, in her role as Provedora do Técnico, presented the Ambassadors Programme to promote Técnico’s guiding values and recognised its 70 ambassadors. Launched in March 2025 by the Provedoria with the Guiding Values group, the programme draws students, faculty, researchers and administrative staff from across the institution to carry Técnico's guiding values (Respect, Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration and Excellence) into everyday working life. As Prof. Aires Barros put it, values are not consolidated by being stated, but when they are discussed, practised and shared. The initiative builds on the 2023 Guiding Values guide and now includes a dedicated website.
