We are excited to announce the celebration of International Microorganism Day on 17^th September 2024, at the "Jardim de Química" of IST. This dynamic event will highlight the vital role of microbiology research in society, particularly in health, environment, and agriculture. The celebration will feature invited talks on the roles of microbiology in human health and adaptation to climate change. For children, teenagers, and our students, we are thrilled to introduce the "Microbiology Trail." This engaging activity will challenge young minds to participate in a variety of interactive experiences, including games, demonstrations, and hands-on experiments. As they navigate the trail, they will gather answers for a quiz, competing for exciting prizes. This educational and interactive journey promises a fun and immersive way to learn about and connect with the fascinating world of microbiology.
