Exploring Bioengineering in Action
First-year students of Biological Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico kicked off a series of technical visits as part of the course Topics in Bioengineering, aimed at bridging academic learning with real-world applications of bioengineering in various industries.
The first visit was to Lallemand Ibéria, a global leader in the production of yeast and bacteria.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to learn about advanced biotechnological processes used to develop innovative solutions in areas such as baking, winemaking, animal and human nutrition, and agriculture.
