Last 16th November, the MICROSUMMIT 2024 was held at the Instituto Superior Técnico, chaired by Jorge H. Leitão. Together with Marília Mateus from DBE and other members of the organizing committee, this one-day meeting was planned for bridging academia and the business sectors, and creating opportunities for strengthening knowledge transfer, co-creation and employment of microbiologists. A total of about 60 participants were present at the event.
