This paper represents four years of meticulous literature review and collaboration between experts in developmental biology, bioengineering, and neuroscience.

It explores the intricate processes of CNS vascularization during human development and highlights cutting-edge strategies for vascularizing neural organoids — critical tools for modeling diseases and developing therapies.

This work is the result of a global collaboration led by researchers at DBE-IST (SCERG-iBB), and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in the USA.
