Prof. Vasco Bonifácio (DBE, IBB) made an oral communication at Mech'chem 2025: New Forces in Mechanochemistry, which took place in Montpellier, France, June 4-6, 2025. In his l lecture, “Mechanochemical Inverse Vulcanization Towards Novel Cancer Therapeutics,” he demonstrated the potential of this new technology in the production of a new class of anticancer agents. Mechanochemcial inverse vulcanization is a novel tool for sustainable synthesis, avoiding the use of solvents, being simple and low-cost, which allows for the valorization of industrial waste. In this symposium he was also a member of the best poster evaluation panel.
