Bioengineering lies at the interface between Life Sciences, Technologies and Engineering aiming at the application of engineering methods to biological systems to meet the pressing challenges facing society today. At the same time, bioengineering draws inspiration from biological and medical systems to discover new methodologies for engineering practice.
