Following the elections for the Ordem dos Engenheiros 2025-2028 mandate, the Department of Bioengineeing (DBE) Invited Professor Hugo Plácido da Silva has been elected as a delegate of the national bodies of the Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering College. This is a particularly noteworthy milestone, when considering that it is the first time that elections have encompassed this newly-created college. This appointment further reinforces the DBE’s position in valuing the Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering profession, as well as in further creating opportunities for professionals in the field.
