First-year students of Biological Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico continued their series of technical visits as part of the Topics in Bioengineering course, designed to connect academic knowledge with its practical applications in industry.

This time, students visited @Hovione, a renowned pharmaceutical company headquartered in Portugal, specializing in the development and production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and innovative drug delivery systems.

During the visit to the Loures production facility, students gained valuable insights into cutting-edge pharmaceutical processes and quality assurance practices that ensure the development of safe and effective medicines.
