IT – Instituto de Telecomunicações welcomed another group of highly motivated highschool students between July 18th and 22nd for the Ciência Viva “Introduction to Biosignals (INBIO)” Summer School. Jointly organized by the IST Department of Bioengineering (DBE) and by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (DEEC), the action included theoretical and practical activities, visits to museums and demonstrators, as well a testimonial from IST spin-off CardioID. Students learned about the different dimensions of biosignals and even built an elementary cardiovascular monitor based on the ScientISST MAKER Arduino variant. The organizers are grateful to everyone that made this action a success, as shown by the highest marks assigned by students in the assessment questionnaires. See more.
