The Ph.D. students Michaela Kubalová and Paula Večeríková from Brno University of Technology (Czechia) have spent 3 months working with Carla C.C.R. de Carvalho (2BRG-iBB) and her group. They learned techniques regarding the establishment and characterization of biofilms. In particular, Michaela and Paula studied biofilms with mixed species and learned lipidomics techniques to evaluate their potential as probiotics.
