Ricardo Ribeiro, student of PhD program in Biotechnology and Biosciences (FCT doctoral program in Applied and Environmental Microbiology (DP_AEM)) presented his work during the Microbiotec' 21 Congress that was held online between the 23 and 26 of November. The short oral presentation of his poster entitled "Response to acetic acid stress in yeast: focus on cell wall remodeling", took place during the session "Microbial physiology and biochemistry: microbial activity in the context of environmental changes". The developed work was recently published in Scientific Reports and was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Isabel Sá- Correia (iBB-BSRG) in collaboration with Dr. Mário Rodrigues's team (BioISI) and Dr. Fabio Fernandes (iBB-BSIRG), for cell wall physico-chemical characterization.
