We are thrilled to announce the kick-off meeting of the DIG4BIO (Digitalization for Biomanufacturing) project, funded by the European Union, which took place on July 1st, 2024, at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon. This event marked the official start of a promising collaboration led by Professor Ana Azevedo from IST, in partnership with the Technical University of Berlin (TUB) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

Project Overview: DIG4BIO aims to revolutionize the biomanufacturing landscape through digitalization, enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring precise quality control in the production of biopharmaceuticals and advanced therapy modalities. This Twining action is set to advance IST’s research capacity and profile in digital biomanufacturing, while also bolstering research management and administrative skills.
